Adding Emails to Cases
Finding and adding the right emails to cases is critical for maintaining compliance and preserving important information. Blockmail makes it easy to search, select, and place emails on litigation hold.
Adding Emails Through Search Results
Search for Emails:
Use Blockmail’s powerful search capabilities to find the emails you need. You can apply search parameters such as:Keywords (from the subject or content)
Sender and recipient information
Date ranges
Select Emails:
Once your search results appear, select emails by clicking the checkbox next to each email.To select multiple emails, simply check additional boxes.
To select all emails on the current page, click the checkbox at the top of the search results.
Place Emails on Hold:
After selecting one or more emails, a Place on Hold button will appear in the top-right corner above the search results.Click this button to open a side drawer.
Choose the case you want to associate the emails with.
Click Place on Hold to confirm.
Viewing Emails in a Case
To review emails placed on hold:
Navigate to the Cases section from the sidebar.
Click on the case you wish to view.
You’ll see a list of all emails currently on hold within that case.
The case details include useful information such as:
Case Name
Case Owner
Number of Emails on Hold
Case Status (Active or Archived)
Case ID
Blockchain Transaction ID (providing tamper-proof integrity)
To help locate specific emails within the case, you can use additional filters such as keywords, senders, recipients, and dates.
Managing Emails in Cases
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can remove emails from a case.
Only the contributor who added the email or the case owner can remove an email from a case.
